Domaine Thill - "Château de Schengen"
The origins of Château de Schengen go back to the 13th century when the first castle was built on the banks of the Moselle in the southern part of Luxembourg.
In 1985, one of the most important international treaties of the 20th century was named after Schengen.
Bernard-Massard have managed this prestigious estate since 1986.
The vineyard is on one of the region's finest terroirs with sunny, well-drained slopes overlooking the left bank of the river.

Viticulture: Quality is an absolute priority at this estate, which has met ISO 14001 standards since 2005.
Winemaking: The grapes are hand picked, sorted and taken to the winery in 200 kg boxes. They are put through a pneumatic press after partial destemming.
Fermentation with cultured yeasts in small stainless steel vats. Bottling is done in the spring after the vintage, once the wines have been left on their lees for several months.
Production: Domaine Thill: approximately 40,000 bottles a year
Château de Schengen : approximately 20,000 bottles a year
The rich Markusberg soil in Schengen produces famous full-bodied, rich, and generous Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris wines.
New vineyards on excellent slopes such as Felsberg in Wintrange have extended the estate's range to include some of the finest Rieslings in the Grand Duchy.
